Spend a fun evening making your own strappy espadrilles, in a fabric of your choice. You’ll walk away with one completed sandal, with all the knowledge and skills to finish the second one (and many more pairs!) at home. Imagine all the fabrics you could use! Over this 3 hour workshop you’ll master lots of sewing and construction skills. You'll need to bring or buy a fat quarter (50cm x 50cm) of fabric. All other materials and tools are provided.
If you love the idea of sewing your own things but aren't quite ready to invest in a sewing machine or a series of sewing classes, this is perfect for you. You'll learn the basics of sewing fabric accessories and create a little zip-up earbud case. You can make it again at home with nothing but scissors, a zip, a needle and thread so it's the perfect way to try out some sewing skills. These fab little cases make brilliant gifts too.

For one day only on Saturday 8th July, Crafty Fox Market has invited 40+ designer makers and artists to offer their best bargain samples and covetable seconds for the ultimate crafty rummage at the Effra Social in Brixton. The mix of exciting brands taking part are exclusively traders from the Fox’s previous markets, hand selected by the Crafty Fox team to offer slight seconds and samples of designer made ceramics, jewellery, art prints, cards, textiles and gifts all at bargain prices.
Spend a fun afternoon making your own pair of espadrilles with ankle straps. Starting with nothing but the signature soles (with a practical rubber base) and a 50cm square of fabric, you'll leave with one completed espadrille sandal and all the kit to make your second one at home. This is a brilliant introduction to the basic principals of sewing and shoe construction, so you'll leave with your head brimming full of new knowledge as well as a pair of shoes to put a swing of pride in your steps!
